K&D hammered Walsall last week with another masterclass from George Worker with 145 runs and 3 wickets at Station Road. With 74 from Oliver Hayley and 3 wickets apiece for Jack Grundy and Henry Brookes, the 1st XI extend their lead at the top of the league with 2 games to play. In the past week or so, K&D have also tasted success by winning the Harlequin T20 Floodlit Tournament and the Arden Sunday League T20 Competition.

This week, the 1st XI play fourth placed Ombersley on Saturday 9th September at Station Road. This is a crucial game and victory would keep the 1st XI in the hunt for the Birmingham & District Premier Cricket League Title.

Saturday's game vs Ombersley will be overseas player George Worker’s final game of the season. George’s performances have broken all sort of records including; 8 hundreds in 14 innings, averaging 144.5 runs and totalled a massive 1445 runs – a new Birmingham League record. George has also taken 27 wickets at an average 12.63, including 7/32 vs Barnt Green.

George has been a huge addition to K&D and wish him all the best for his home season in New Zealand.

The 2nd XI are second in the league, with the 3rd XI and 4th XI still fighting hard for survival.

K&D juniors are also flying high with u10's, u12's, u17's and u19's into their respective competition finals. K&D u13s are in the Premier League final on Sunday and the u9s finished runners up in their final, which was played under floodlights at Edgbaston.
