K&D juniors claim Warwickshire U13s Premier League title
K&D under 13s beat Olton C.C. by 6 wickets in the play-off final on Sunday 10th September.
K&D under 13's side claimed the Warwickshire Youth Cricket Leagues U13 Premier League title with a hard earned victory over Olton C.C.
Olton batted first and posted a health score of 141-5 of 25 overs. Tom Wilkins top scored for Olton with 44, falling six short of a half century after being dismissed by Pierce Ryan.
In reply, K&D started well, building stronger partnerships and eventually reached Olton's target with 9 balls to spare. K&D finished on 144-4. Captain Ben Whitfield starred with the bat, scoring 53. George Baines supported the skipper with a solid 26 not out.
This another great success story for the club and well done to all the players, coaches and parents involved.

Knowle & Dorridge Cricket Club was formed in 1896 and are one of the foremost cricket clubs in the Midlands. The club is situated between the ‘villages’ of Knowle and Dorridge on Station Road, Dorridge, Solihull, West Midlands, and the second ground is situated on Lugtrout Lane, Solihull.
The club currently run 4 teams on Saturdays and 1 team on Sundays and has one of the strongest junior sections in the area In 2017, K&D are running junior teams at under U9s x 3, U10s x 2, U11s x 3, U12s, U13s, U14s, U15s x 2, U17s and U19s. K&D also run U11s and U13s girl’s teams.
