Three early wickets from Jack Grundy (3-14) earned K&D's 1st XI the point needed to clinch the 2017 Premier Division title at Shrewsbury on Saturday 16th September 2017.

Ian Maddocks, Club Chairman explained:
"This is such a great achievement for the club. Our 1st XI have been brilliantly led by captain Sam Reddish and I am immensely proud of all our players."

Sam Reddish, 1st XI Captain explained:
"It is such a fantastic achievement to win the league and this success has been a real team effort. We have developed such a strong side, by blending home grown talent with experience, as well as managing to attract the brilliance of George Worker.

"We've had so many great performers throughout the season including Alex Phillips scoring over 900 runs, Henry Brookes breaking into the Warwickshire CCC team as well as other guys coming into the side from the 2nd XI and making a real contribution.

"I would personally like to thank all of our supporters and club members who have helped us achieve this great success."

The clubs 2nd XI also finished 2nd in the Premier League, with the 3rd XI managing to avoid relegation, the 4th XI were unfortunately relegated by 2 points.

It has been a fantastic 2017 for K&D and the season will be celebrated in style at the Annual Club Dinner on Saturday 14th October 2017.

Knowle & Dorridge Cricket Club was formed in 1896 and are one of the foremost cricket clubs in the Midlands. The club is situated between the ‘villages’ of Knowle and Dorridge on Station Road, Dorridge, Solihull, West Midlands, and the second ground is situated on Lugtrout Lane, Solihull.

The club currently run 4 teams on Saturdays and 1 team on Sundays and has one of the strongest junior sections in the area In 2017, K&D are running junior teams at under U9s x 3, U10s x 2, U11s x 3, U12s, U13s, U14s, U15s x 2, U17s and U19s. K&D also run U11s and U13s girl’s teams.
