Welcome to the Buy A Brick appeal page.

The club are instigating this appeal in order to raise funds towards the all weather net facility which is so urgently needed in order to maintain our position as one of the leading cricket clubs in the area.

Currently we are competing for the Premier League title in one of the strongest leagues in the country. In addition our 2nd XI are among the strongest second teams in the league and our 3rd XI are vying for promotion from the Third Division of the Warwickshire League, competing against other 1st XI teams including Hampton & Solihull and Wishaw. This success is underpinned by the strength of our Junior section which is also among the strongest in the area and the envy of many other clubs.

Unfortunately, our practice facilities do not reflect the position of our playing strength, largely because we are hampered by the small size of our ground and the limited space we have available for practice facilities like all weather nets. We have been unsuccessful in our quest for major funding from the ECB - unlike other clubs in our league - because our size limitations ensure that we do not fit all the criteria required, and it is necessary for us to search for funding elsewhere.

It is paramount that we support our cricketers with better facilities, especially the Junior Section, and we will be seeking grant funding from other sources. In the meantime, however, we can do something ourselves to ensure that we remain at the 'top of the tree'. Hence, this appeal to all our members and any other benefactors who feel that they would wish to contribute to our cause.

The format of this appeal is to 'buy a brick' in our 'virtual' wall which can be found elsewhere on this site. The letter from the President which covers this appeal is self explanatory and can be seen also - following this page - and the Donation Form can be downloaded for you to complete with details of any donation you wish to make and forward to the Treasurer at the club.

We are hopeful that we can raise enough funds collectively to have these nets ready for the 2012 season. We will be grateful for any support you can give.
